Leaving fair and honest reviews is an important part of the Everywhere Venues check out process to share positive experiences, recognise responsible behavior, verify venue listing details and confirm that venues are left in the condition in which they were provided.

Reviews also help Everywhere Venues Members to choose which venues are best suited to them, based on the experiences of others.

Writing and responding to Reviews must never be used to coerce another Everywhere Venues Member to do anything. This is extortion, which may carry criminal sanctions in some jurisdictions, and is strictly prohibited by Everywhere Venues on the Platform.

Examples of extortion include, but are not limited to:

• Visitors threatening to use reviews or ratings to force a Venue Manager to provide refunds, payment, or a reciprocal positive review.
• Venue Managers coercing a Visitor to leave a positive review or rating, or to change a review in exchange for a partial or full refund/discount, or reciprocal review.
• Venue Managers asking a Visitor to take certain actions related to a review in exchange for a resolution to a dispute between the parties.

This policy does not prohibit:

• A Visitor contacting a Venue Manager with a problem before leaving a review. We recommend that Visitors contact Venue Managers in the first instance to communicate any problems before resorting to the review process.
• A Venue Manager asking a Visitor to leave an honest review or rating.
• A Venue Manager or Visitor from revising a review within the allowed timeframe.

Venue Managers and Visitors cannot edit reviews after they are published.

The Extortion Policy forms part of the Terms of Service, which Everywhere Venues may enforce at our sole discretion. Failure to comply with our Terms of Service or any of our policies may result in the restriction, suspension or termination of your Everywhere Venues account.
