In partnership with accessibility experts, we have developed the world’s first rating system for venues. We also ask our venue managers to provide comprehensive accessibility information about the venues we list on our platform.
You can even search for venues that meet a specific accessibility rating so you can have confidence when organising events and activities that you and your guests with accessibility needs can safely attend.
We’re working with councils, universities, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) providers, accessibility advocates and business communities to run Accessible Towns projects to get as many venues listed with full accessibility information. |
Check out the Accessible Bathurst project that is now underway with the support of a Fundability Grant - brought to you by Northcott and funded by the NSW Department of Family and Community Services.
“Accessible Bathurst is the best thing to happen for disabled people in Bathurst,” said Bob Triming, President of the Bathurst Regional Access Committee.
Running an Accessible Town project and uploading council venues to Everywhere Venues is a meaningful and dynamic way for local councils to achieve their disability inclusion action plans.
When we assess venues for their accessibility features we also provide advice on how to make their venues more accessible - see our page.
