Building/area description

Patchwork Inn B&B is located on Temora's main street within a beautiful heritage building formerly known as The Federal Hotel. Finished being built in 1912 of solid brick, the Federal ceased operating as a hotel in 1996 when the licence was sold off. Since then this dynamic building continues to morph spaces that are useable and relevant to ensure its colourful legacy continues. The first floor of the entire building (up 8 stairs) is taken up with accommodation that can sleep up to 38 persons. On the ground level, 3 commercial businesses front Hoskins street.  Behind these shops are the discreetly placed spaces that make up the Old Dining Room and the Courtyard.  A commercial kitchen is separated from the Old Dining Room via a swing door. Alternate access to the kitchen is thru the courtyard kitchen door. Private off street parking is located at the rear of the building. From High Tea to Work Christmas party, from inhouse fully catered marketing meeting to groups of 20 patchwork sewers, full of natural light, airy and weather protected there hasn't been a space request that we haven't been able to find a mutually happy solution to.


Venue description

Large covered courtyard area that was once the beer garden.  Lights, fans, table, chairs and bistro blinds.Can accommodate about 80 persons standing up or 60 sitting down comfortably.

How to get to building/area

The building shares a boundary with Target on the southern side. The Temora Post office sits two buildings away on the northern side.  The country link bus depot in Loftus Street is one building away from the Post Office or 50 meters from the Patchwork Inn B&B. Actually the building is its own landmark occupying the high side of the main part of the main street. It's central location is perfect for accessing many of Temora's attractions. The venues can be accessed from either the front or the back of the building.  Front access is via two main doors between Coffee Bar On Hoskins and KaMarley & Me at 173 Hoskins Street.  The green metal gates in front of the old horse carriage way fronting 173 Hoskins Street is another entry point. The rear of the building and the private off street parking space can be entered via Little Hoskins Street which can be accessed from either Victoria Street or Loftus Street. There is Patchwork Inn B&B carpark signage on the back fence above the flower boarder.  Our neighbour on the other side of the Little Hoskins Street is the rear of the Temora Police station.

How to get to venue

Can access the venue from the front of the building either thru the front double doors (173 Hoskins Street) or thru the old carriage way (171 Hoskins Street). Rear lane access is via Little Hoskins Street. Signage on the back fence identifies the rear carpark entrance.

All bookings made by an entity with an Australian Business Number (ABN) and/or where more than 8 people will be attending the venue require a $20 million AUD public liability policy

The visitor may provide their own alcohol according to local, state and national laws and regulations.

cancellation policy

If the Venue Manager cancels the booking, the Total Fees (including Venue Fees and Service Fees) will be refunded in full to the Visitor. If the Visitor cancels the booking more than 14 days prior to the check-in time and date, the Venue Fees will be refunded in full. The Service Fees will not be refunded. If the Visitor cancels the booking between 48 hours and 14 days prior the check-in time and date, 50% of the Venue Fees will be refunded. The Service Fees will not be refunded. If the Visitor cancels less than 48 hours prior to the check-in time and date, the Venue Fees and Service Fees are non-refundable.
